Nagesh Kukunoor To Direct A Biopic On Ramalinga Raju

Soon there is going to be a biopic on the infamous Ramalinga Raju, Ex-CEO of Satyam Computers, and will be directed by none other than the talented director Nagesh Kukunoor. The biopic is going to be a book adaptation of Kinshuk Nag's book ‘Double Life of Ramalinga Raju’ that was published in 2009. The biopic will be bankrolled by Applause Entertainment, who has announced this biopic on the life and alleged crimes of Ramalinga Raju, the former CEO of Satyam Computer Services. Mr. Raju was accused of embezzling money from the company and for his alleged involvement in insider trading.  

Sameer Nair, CEO, Applause Entertainment, expressed that viewers are intrigued by biopics. He added stories of real people and their deeds are always engaging to watch. The story about Raju has been witnessed by many unfolded in front of their eyes, through the medium of news. So, Sameer feels that insider views on the issue would be intriguing for the audience. He exhumed confidence in the biopic's director Nagesh Kukunoor, an engineer turned filmmaker who hails from Hyderabad where the story took place. He also felt that Nagesh is uniquely positioned to explain the subtleties and direct this biopic.
