Mrunal Thakur will not say yet whether she is part of Raaka, the sci-fi action film Atlee is directing with Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. She said that any news about her next films will come from her own social media handles.

"I like how you assume that I am doing Raaka," she said with a laugh when the question came up in an interview. When pressed, she said the announcement of her upcoming films would be made on social networking sites soon, "so that we put a full stop to all these rumours."

In another conversation, the actor said she had not signed a film in almost nine months. She is waiting for a meaningful role, she added.

Deepika Padukone is the female lead in Raaka, Atlee's next film after Jawan. Mrunal's name has been linked to the project for a long time, but the makers have said nothing about her.

For now, she is keeping the focus on her latest release, Pooja Meri Jaan. She said she wants to enjoy the process of acting instead of judging every film by how it does. "For me, everything is you live and you learn," she said.

She also wants to do more romantic and family dramas, naming Hum Saath Saath Hai and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun as favourites, and is looking for a good Marathi script.

Telugu audiences will remember her from Sita Ramam, and the film has travelled. Mrunal recalled an American viewer who watched it after Indian friends recommended it, along with people in Paris and the Philippines who had seen Love Sonia and Made in Heaven.
