Matka: Varun Tej's Upcoming Magnum Opus Takes The Grand Stage!

Mega Prince Varun Tej, known for his versatile roles across genres, is teaming up with director Karuna Kumar, acclaimed for his work in "Palasa," for his 14th movie. The project is set to be produced on an extravagant scale by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala of Vyra Entertainments. The much-anticipated #VT14, launched today in Hyderabad amidst the presence of the team and esteemed special guests, promises to be an epic cinematic journey.

The script was handed over to the director by Suresh Babu and the film's producers, setting the stage for the production. The muhurtham shot was initiated by director Maruthi, while mega producer Allu Aravind clapped the board. Dil Raju, an eminent filmmaker, graced the occasion with honorary direction, and Harish Shankar unveiled the title poster.

Titled intriguingly "Matka," the movie revolves around a real incident that shook the entire nation and is set against the backdrop of Vizag between 1958-1982. The narrative spans 24 eventful years, during which Varun Tej will showcase his acting prowess by portraying four distinct avatars. His transformation promises to be a visual spectacle, making "Matka" his highest-budget entertainer.

The star-studded cast includes the sensational Nora Fatehi and the talented Meenakshi Chowdary, who will share the screen with Varun Tej. Additionally, there will be a particular song featuring the Bollywood star Nora Fatehi, marking her Tollywood debut in this ambitious Pan India Feature film. Naveen Chandra and Kannada actor Kishore will also be seen in prominent roles.
