Kangana Ranaut's second directorial film, "Emergency," has experienced several delays for various reasons. The most recent postponement, from September 20, 2024, to an indefinite date, was reportedly due to death threats received by CBFC members, according to Kangana. This led to the film being delayed.

However, the latest update is that the film has finally cleared the censor process, and Kangana shared the news on social media. She also mentioned that the release date will be announced soon. The movie has received a U/A certification from the censor board with some cuts, and the final runtime is set at 146 minutes (2 hours and 26 minutes), which is a reasonable length for a political drama.

Produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana Ranaut under the Manikarnika Films banner, "Emergency" features an ensemble cast including Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla, and others alongside Kangana. The film's music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
