Jim Carrey weds longtime partner Min Ah in a private ceremony
Hollywood star Jim Carrey, 64, has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah, months after the couple made a rare public appearance together at the César Awards in Paris.
Hollywood star Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah. The 64-year-old actor reportedly confirmed the news through a spokesperson on Wednesday, September 30. Reports say the couple exchanged vows in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles, with only close friends and family in attendance.
The wedding comes months after the pair stepped out together at the César Awards in Paris in February, where Carrey received an honorary César, the prize often called the French Oscars. In his acceptance speech, he thanked his daughter Jane and grandson Jackson, then turned to Min Ah, calling her his sublime companion and telling her he loved her. He ended by honouring his father, Percy Joseph Carrey, for teaching him the value of love, generosity and laughter.
The two have kept their romance far from the spotlight, and their public outings together have been rare. They have reportedly been together since at least 2022, when photographs showed them leaving a charity comedy show in Los Angeles. That same year, while promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Carrey reportedly spoke about taking a break from acting to focus on painting, his family and his spiritual life.
This marks Carrey's third trip down the aisle. His first marriage was to Melissa Womer, whom he wed in 1987 and with whom he shares his daughter Jane. They parted ways in 1995. He then married Lauren Holly, his co-star in the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber, in 1996, but that union ended the following year. Before Min Ah, he was reportedly in a relationship with his Kidding co-star Ginger Gonzaga, which reportedly ended in 2019.
On the work front, Carrey is reportedly set to headline a live-action version of the classic animated series The Jetsons. He is also expected to return as Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which is scheduled to release in 2027.
