The release of Shahid Kapoor’s much awaited film Jersey has been delayed indefinitely due to rising COVID cases and cinemas being asked to shut in the capital.
A source revealed, “Cinemas in Delhi have been asked to close from tomorrow. Some other states have also imposed night restrictions and a 50 per cent seating clause. The film’s business is bound to take a hit. People are scared to venture in public spaces given the Omicron threat so this decision is wise.”
Producer Aman Gill confirmed that, “In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines, we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead.”
