Jailer 2 drops third single One Name, a tribute to Rajinikanth's 50 years

The music of Jailer 2 just got louder. The makers of Nelson Dilipkumar's sequel have released One Name, the third single from the album, and every beat of it is built around Rajinikanth. Anirudh Ravichander composed the track and Super Subu wrote the lyrics. It works as a tribute to the superstar's five decades in cinema.

Once the chorus kicks in, One Name turns into a loud, high-energy mass number with heavy beats, big brass and a powerful group chorus. The lyrics reportedly call Thalaivar a phenomenon who reached 50 years by standing firm through hate, someone unstoppable and unbreakable. Reports say the song runs 3 minutes 24 seconds and includes nods to the first film, along with a popular meme line in the superstar's own voice.

One Name follows One Sun One Moon, the second single. The first song, Ala Bolelo, was reportedly composed and sung by Anirudh himself. A short part of One Name had reportedly already played in a promo, so the full release has only added to the buzz around the album.

More is on the way. The fourth single, with its music video, is reportedly due on September 30, 2026, and the complete 12-track album is said to reach streaming platforms the same day. Reports also say the trailer will arrive on October 5, 2026, and fans are now waiting for the audio launch, which is expected to be one of the film's biggest promotional events.

Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the sequel to Jailer. The cast includes Vidya Balan, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mohanlal is also reportedly part of the film. Sun Pictures is reportedly producing the project.
