It Seems Like Mufasa The Lion King Is Doing Great In Tamil Nadu Compared To Viduthalai 2!

Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai 2 recently hit theaters, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. The first installment was a hit both critically and commercially, so fans were excited for the sequel. However, it faced tough competition with the release of Hollywood blockbuster Mufasa: The Lion King.

Initially, Viduthalai 2 had a strong start in Tamil Nadu, outperforming Mufasa. But the tables turned quickly as Mufasa started to gain momentum during the weekdays. While Vetrimaaran's film slowed down, Mufasa continued to hold strong at the box office.

It seems like Mufasa's collections in Tamil Nadu might eventually match Viduthalai 2's by the end of its run. Currently, Mufasa has grossed around Rs. 25 crores, while Viduthalai 2 has earned about Rs. 35 crores in the region. Unfortunately, Viduthalai 2 hasn't performed as well outside of Tamil Nadu.
