Fahadh Faasil and producers share Rajamouli lessons behind Don't Trouble The Trouble

Fahadh Faasil leads Don't Trouble The Trouble, a Telugu film backed by SS Karthikeya and Shobu Yarlagadda. Ahead of its release, the star and the producers have spoken about what went into the project, and Rajamouli's name came up more than once. Reports say Shashank Yeleti directs the film, with Prasad Devineni also producing under the Arka Media Works and Showing Business banners, and the release is reportedly set for October 2.

Karthikeya said the idea first reached them through a narration in 2021. The team took its time preparing before filming began in October 2025. The shoot reportedly wrapped by the end of March, and close to six months of post production followed. The makers are not worried by the long gap, because they feel the emotional heart of the story is universal and does not depend on when it is set.

The film is much smaller than Baahubali or RRR, but it brought its own problems. The unit reportedly worked across around 79 locations, so the crew faced a new setup almost every day while trying to protect quality and stay on budget.

Karthikeya and Shobu credited their time with Rajamouli for how they handle that kind of pressure. In their view, many filmmakers copy the look of his films but miss the careful process behind it. They stressed detailed pre production talks between the director, cinematographer, production designer and VFX team, so everyone knows the goal before reaching the set. Discipline and clear communication, they said, are what truly make a film bigger.

Fahadh said he was won over the moment Shashank narrated the story, calling it unlike anything he had heard before. He described a film about love, affection and relationships, with magic as only one layer. His toughest task was the language: he understood the story in Malayalam, turned his lines into English and then performed them in Telugu. He added that Rajamouli watched some scenes, offered suggestions, and was happy with the final product.

After living here for the past year and a half, Fahadh has picked up a little Telugu, and he dubbed his own character in the language for this film. Next time, he promised, he will speak it fully.
