Drishyam The Conclusion: Free Pav Bhaji Offer as Advance Bookings Start Strong

Fans heading out for the third film in the Drishyam franchise may get a snack thrown in. On the evening of September 27, PVR INOX Cinemas reportedly announced on its social media handle that anyone who buys four tickets for Drishyam The Conclusion will get one plate of Pav Bhaji free. The deal is said to run only at select PVR INOX properties, and terms and conditions apply.

The choice of dish has a story behind it. In Drishyam (2015), Vijay Salgaonkar, played by Ajay Devgn, and his family kept insisting they had eaten Pav Bhaji, and the line grew into a fan favourite and a steady source of memes. The family placed that meal on October 2, which is also the day the new film arrives in cinemas.

Director, writer and producer Abhishek Pathak was reportedly asked before release whether he planned a Pav Bhaji tie-up. He laughed it off and said the marketing team would decide any such deal. He also reportedly said he hoped audiences would enjoy the film on October 2 and then go out for Pav Bhaji once they loved it.

Ticket sales also look healthy. Bookings reportedly opened a day earlier, and around 35,000 tickets had been sold across the two national multiplex chains, with that number expected to reach about 45,000 by the end of the day. Smaller chains such as Miraj, Moviemax, Wave and City Pride are also said to be building a good advance.

Reports compare the early numbers to Stree 2, which sold a similar count at the same stage and went on to net Rs. 50 crore on its Independence Day opening in 2024. Drishyam 3 has higher ticket prices and no paid previews to split demand, and trade estimates reportedly put its opening day at Rs. 50 crore to Rs. 60 crore nett. These are projections, not final collections. The overseas advance is also said to be strong, and it could turn out to be the best ever for an Ajay Devgn film.
