Director Rahul Dholakia quits his project Shabaash Mithu, releases an official statement

Pan-Indian Actress Taapsee Pannu has left a gleaming trail of mind-blowing hits. Now, she will add another film to her list where she will be portraying the role of Mithali Raj, one of the greatest batswomen in the world. This film goes by the title Shabaash Mithu.

The latest news about Shabaash Mithu is that several rumors about the director quitting his post have been rushing around. To our surprise, the former director of this film, Rahul Dholakia, has released an official statement on his Twitter handle to confirm the same. He penned down an emotional statement where he mentioned the reason for his departure from the film crew is that his schedule is packed and he won't be able to give enough attention to Shabaash Mithu.

Rahul stated, "Unfortunately I won't be part of the dream, but I am and will always be there for them to realize their dream. Covid messed up everyone's schedules, mine was no different. Ajit has a vision, and a plan for the film, and the way to release it. I wish him and the team the very best for it. Thank you. Best wishes, Rahul Dholakia."

With that said, filmmaker Srijit will be handling the direction of Shabaash Mithu from now on.
