In a recent interview, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the director of Lal Salaam starring Superstar Rajinikanth, shared some surprising details about the film. Originally, Rajinikanth's character was only supposed to have a 10-minute cameo, but due to his massive fan following, the role was expanded to keep the audience happy.
Aishwarya explained, "Initially, Daddy's character was meant to appear in the second half for a brief cameo. However, knowing that fans flock to the theaters to see him, we decided to revamp the entire script and give him a bigger role. We had to reshuffle the edit in the last two days to accommodate these changes."
Despite facing challenges with last-minute alterations and adding more commercial elements, Aishwarya believes that Lal Salaam's core content is strong. While some viewers may have found the first half confusing, she is proud of the film as a filmmaker and sees it as a valuable learning experience.
