Highly versatile actor Dhanush is set to grace the big screen with the PAN Indian action drama, "Captain Miller," directed by Arun Matheswaran. Originally scheduled for release this month, the film was postponed to Pongal 2024 for unspecified reasons. Today, the makers officially announced that "Captain Miller" will hit theaters on January 12, 2024.

Interestingly, the release date puts "Captain Miller" in direct competition with Mahesh Babu's "Guntur Kaaram" and Prashanth Varma's "HanuMan," both generating substantial buzz among Telugu audiences. Dhanush, with a solid fanbase in Telugu, faces the challenge of drawing audiences to theaters amid the release of two highly anticipated straight films on the same day.

Starring Priyanka Mohan as the female lead, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Shiv Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, and RRR fame Edward Sonnenblick in pivotal roles. Produced by Sendhil Thyagaraj and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, "Captain Miller" features music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
