Chiranjeevi's Kaaka begins dubbing as Bobby holds firm on January 13, 2027 release

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Kaaka has entered a new phase. Director Bobby and his team began dubbing work for the film with a traditional puja ceremony, and the makers remain firmly set on a January 13, 2027 release in time for Sankranthi.

Kaaka reunites Chiranjeevi with Bobby after their blockbuster Waltair Veerayya, and the director is keen to hold on to the Sankranthi sentiment of that earlier film. With barely three months left before release, the unit is running dubbing alongside filming and other post-production work so that nothing falls behind. Bobby is reportedly aiming to finish the remaining shoot by November to avoid any last-minute pressure.

The push comes amid chatter that Kaaka could be moved to avoid a clash with Vishwambhara, another Chiranjeevi film. The makers have firmly rejected the postponement speculation. Reports suggest the long-delayed Vishwambhara may also be looking at the festive season, although its team has not officially announced a new date. The socio fantasy adventure, directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, has reportedly faced delays partly because of extensive VFX work. If both films arrive together, fans would see two big releases of the same star in one festival window.

Kaaka is produced by KVN Productions, and Thaman is composing the music. According to reports, the cast includes Anaswara Rajan, who plays Chiranjeevi's daughter, along with Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil and Getup Srinu.

The first glimpse, released on Chiranjeevi's birthday, raised curiosity around the film, and the buzz around the project remains positive. With dubbing now underway and the release date locked, the team is clearly working against the clock to deliver the Megastar's festival film on schedule.
