Ajay Devgn and Drishyam team open The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 on Netflix

Kapil Sharma is bringing The Great Indian Kapil Show back to Netflix for a fifth season, and the Drishyam team gets the opening night. The first episode arrives on September 26. After that, new episodes will stream every Saturday at 8 pm.

Ajay Devgn leads the guest line-up with his co-stars Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat and Mrunal Jadhav. Director Abhishek Pathak joins them too. The visit comes as Ajay gets ready for the theatrical release of Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third and final part of the Hindi franchise, where he plays Vijay Salgaonkar once again.

The promo reportedly has one standout moment when Kapil brings up Kajol's absence from the franchise. He asks the director whether Kajol would have made Ajay's character confess everything if she had been in the first part. Ajay fires back, "The first film wouldn't have been made!" According to reports, Kapil also teases that he has known Ajay for 15 years and the two have spoken only 14 times.

The familiar faces are back. Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda return, and Navjot Singh Sidhu is part of the gang once more. Reports say the premiere will show Jaideep Ahlawat dancing with Sona and Mona 2.0, the revived Krushna and Kiku duo, while Grover does his impression of Ajay Devgn. Cricket greats Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar are also reportedly on the guest list this season, along with Pankaj Tripathi, Zakir Khan and Vikas Divyakirti.

Drishyam: The Conclusion also stars Tabu, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj, and it is reportedly due in theatres on October 2, 2026. According to reports, Abhishek Pathak has said the Hindi film does not follow the Malayalam Drishyam 3 starring Mohanlal. He says it uses a completely different script that took around two and a half years to develop.
