Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar" Faces Box Office Struggle

Notably, "Bholaa Shankar" has faced a complete box office setback in the Nizam region.

Following disappointments like "Acharya" and "Godfather," Megastar Chiranjeevi encounters yet another setback at the box office with his recent release, the family drama "Bholaa Shankar." Industry analysts foresee substantial losses, estimating a staggering Rs 35-40 crore deficit for this high-budget venture.

Notably, "Bholaa Shankar" has faced a complete setback in the Nizam region. During its initial Sunday screening, the film merely accumulated a meager share of Rs 81 (excluding GST) at Nizam's ticket counters. The cumulative Nizam share for the film's three-day opening weekend stands at Rs 5.20 crore. With approximately Rs 22 crore invested in "Bholaa Shankar," the film remains Rs 17 crore short of breaking even—a daunting challenge.

The movie is an authorized adaptation of Tamil actor Ajith's blockbuster action-packed family drama, "Vedalam." In the wake of this recent disappointment, fervent followers of Megastar Chiranjeevi, disheartened by his series of remakes, are ardently hopeful that he will now exclusively opt for original scripts.
