Box Office Battle Heats Up for Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari'

Nandamuri Balakrishna, riding high on the successes of "Akhanda" and "Veera Simha Reddy," now presents "Bhagavanth Kesari," a creation of writer-director Anil Ravipudi. The film made a decent start at the box office, although its opening figures in the Telugu states faced some competition from Thalapathy Vijay's "Leo," which also premiered on October 19.

To add to the mix, Ravi Teja's "Tiger Nageswara Rao" hit theatres recently, resulting in both "Bhagavanth Kesari" and "Leo" relinquishing some cinema screens, impacting their box office earnings. With all movies now released and word of mouth circulating, Saturday is expected to offer a clearer insight into the trajectory of these films.

For "Leo," breaking even is within reach if it performs well over the next four days, especially during the Dusshera festive period. Meanwhile, "Bhagavanth Kesari" and "Tiger Nageswara Rao" need to maintain their foothold at the box office due to higher production costs. The Dussehra holiday season undoubtedly provides an advantage to all three releases, but the extent to which they capitalize on this holiday window remains to be seen.
