Akshaye Khanna buys Rs 33.26 crore apartment on Mumbai's Malabar Hill

Akshaye Khanna has picked up a new home at one of Mumbai's most exclusive addresses. The actor, son of veteran star Vinod Khanna, has bought an apartment on Malabar Hill for Rs 33.26 crore. Property registration documents filed with the Inspector General of Registration in Maharashtra show the deal was registered in September 2026.

The flat sits at 30 Little Gibbs on Malabar Hill Road. It has a carpet area of 2,341.39 sq ft, and a 175.45 sq ft balcony takes the full size to 2,516.84 sq ft. Three parking spaces come with it. The purchase carried a stamp duty of Rs 1.99 crore, plus Rs 30,000 in registration charges.

Malabar Hill is among South Mumbai's most prized neighbourhoods, set along the Arabian Sea. Nepean Sea Road, Walkeshwar Road and Pedder Road link it to the rest of the city, with Marine Drive, Nariman Point and Colaba close by. The area is also home to landmarks such as Hanging Gardens, Kamala Nehru Park, Banganga Tank and Walkeshwar Temple. Stars including Juhi Chawla, Sunny Deol, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan reportedly own homes in the same locality.

The buy comes during a strong run for Khanna. He played gangster Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, which starred Ranveer Singh in the lead. Reports say the two Dhurandhar films together grossed over Rs 3,203 crore worldwide, and that the actor has since raised his fee for later projects. His long career also takes in films like Dil Chahta Hai, Hulchul, Race, Gandhi, My Father and Drishyam.

Telugu audiences have a reason to watch him closely too. Khanna is reportedly set to make his Telugu debut in Mahakali, a mythological fantasy directed by Puja Kolluru, where he plays Shukracharya, the guru of the Asuras. The film is reported to be heading to theatres on January 8, 2027. Before that, he was reportedly seen in the Netflix courtroom drama Ikka, which paired him with Sunny Deol again after 28 years.
