Akshay Kumar's "Selfiee" Turns Out To Be A Disastrous Venture At The Box Office

Akshay Kumar's latest release, Selfiee, is turning out to be a major disappointment at the box office.

Akshay Kumar's latest release, Selfiee, is turning out to be a major disappointment at the box office. The film, which reportedly had a production cost of Rs 140 crores, has failed to make any significant impact in the theatres. Despite featuring a popular cast, including Akshay Kumar and Mrunal Thakur, the movie has only managed to collect a meager Rs 12 crores in the theatrical share so far.

The film's underwhelming performance can be gauged by its global box office collection, which stands at just a little over Rs 25 crores. This means that the film's worth share is mere Rs 12 crores, resulting in significant losses for its producers.

Selfiee is a remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam movie Driving License. While the original movie was widely appreciated, the Bollywood adaptation seems to have failed to recreate the magic. The movie revolves around the story of a superstar who must get his driver's license renewed and the challenges he faces in the process.

Despite the hype and promotion surrounding the film's release, it appears that audiences have not responded positively to Selfiee. With such dismal box office figures, the movie is on track to become one of the biggest loss ventures in Indian cinema history.
