Story 

Anu (Keerthy Suresh) and Arjun (Nithiin) are childhood friends who share a love and hate relationship. As Arjun's father always compares him with Anu, Arjun starts hating her. But, Anu starts developing feelings for him. Followed by a huge twist in the tale, both Arjun and Anu get married. They both move to Dubai for further studies and Anu gets pregnant. What will Arjun do now? Can the couples resolve their differences? forms the rest of the story. 

Review 

Though the movie has the same old story, the refreshing chemistry between Keerthy Suresh and Nithiin made it interesting to watch. The first half is fast-paced and has a bunch of comedy elements which worked well. But the screenplay fell flat especially in the second half. The story became extremely predictable and most of the scenes felt very routine. Fortunately, the climax scenes are handled well and some emotional scenes succeeded in impressing the masses. The movie is a blend of some beautiful performances, predictable screenplay, a bunch of fun moments and relatable characters.  

Just like his previous movies 'Tholi Prema' and 'Mr. Majnu', Venky Atluri has set the entire second half in a foreign location. Though the first half is filled with so many fun elements, the second half became the setback. The relationship between the children and parents could have been showcased in a better way. Cinematography by PC Sreeram is the biggest plus point for the film. Though his story screenplay are routine, his beautiful visuals added more strength to the film. Music by DSP is quite good. His music elevated the key scenes at times. Editing could have been better in the second half.  

Nithiin played a happy-go-lucky character in the film and he went under the skin of the character. Keerthy Suresh shined in her role. Her character has so many layers and she excelled in portraying her role. More than Nithiin, Keerthy Suresh steals the show and she carried the film on her shoulders. Abhinav Gomatam, Suhas, and Brahmaji gave a laugh riot in the first half whereas Vennela Kishore takes up the second half and made it hilarious. Naresh did a decent job as usual. Rohini made her presence felt. 

Verdict

'Rang De' is a watchable romantic drama with heart-touching emotions, hilarious scenes, and amazing chemistry between the lead pair.
