Srikanth Odela

Srikanth Odela is a film director and screenwriter in Telugu cinema, also credited as Srikanth Odhela. He is best known for Dasara (2023), his first film as director, and The Paradise (2026). Dasara won him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director – South in 2023. Before directing, Odela learned the craft as an assistant director on Nannaku Prematho (2016) and Rangasthalam (2018). His breakthrough came with Dasara (2023), which he directed and wrote the story for. The film did well at the box office and earned more than ₹121 crore worldwide. He followed it with The Paradise (2026), working as director while also writing its story and screenplay. Odela writes the stories he brings to the screen, a habit that runs through both of his films as director. Dasara brought him several honours. Along with the Filmfare Award South for Best Debut Director, he received a nomination for Best Director – Telugu at the same awards. In 2024 he won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director and the South Indian International Movie Awards prize for Best Director – Telugu.
