After years of anticipation, Vishnu Manchu's dream project, 'Kannappa,' has finally kicked off production. The film, which boasts a PAN Indian appeal, is helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, known for directing the Mahabharata serial. Notably, 'Kannappa' features cameo appearances by Prabhas and Nayanthara.

In an exciting development, the legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal has joined the cast in a significant role, elevating the project's stature. This film is attracting attention from some of the most prominent names in the Indian film industry, who are expected to take on other important roles.

While Nupur Sanon recently exited the project due to scheduling conflicts, the announcement of the female lead is eagerly awaited. The film's music is in the capable hands of Manisharma and Stephen Devasi.
