Vinayak opts out of Telugu remake of Lucifer

VV Vinayak walks out of the Telugu remake of Lucifer. Malayalam star Mohanlal's superhit political drama Lucifer is now to be released in Telugu as well. Ram Charan has acquired the rights to remake the film in which Megastar Chiranjeevi will reprise Mohanlal's character. The remake was supposed to be helmed by Sujeeth of Saaho's fame. However, it was canceled as he could not convince Chiru with changes in the script according to Telugu sensibilities. Moreover, Chiru shifted over to VV Vinayak, his most trusted lieutenant to rope the remake of lucifer. VV Vinayak had begun working on the script along with the writer Akula Siva. But looks like VV Vinayak also has left with the rise of creative differences.

However, much of the background story and the reason behind VV Vinayak's departure is yet to be deciphered. VV Vinayak has given Chiru the two most memorable movies in his career- 'Tagore' and 'Khaidi No. 150'. VV Vinayak's departure has brought much delay to start the remake of the film. Their hat-trick would have been a hot cake for the trading circles. Meanwhile, Actor Chiranjeevi is touted to resume Aacharya's shoot from November 9th.
