Vicky Kaushal's first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War is finally here. It comes right after the makers revealed the posters of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The new poster also confirms the release date: the film opens in theatres on January 21, 2027.

The poster has a strong vintage feel. Vicky has an old-style haircut and a thick moustache, and he lights a cigarette with an antique-looking lighter as smoke drifts around his face. He looks straight into the camera with a hard, brooding stare. Reports also point to a scar on his forehead and a gold ring on his hand. The poster was shared with a short, punchy Hindi caption.

The earlier posters set a very different mood for the other two leads. Ranbir sits behind the wheel of a vintage car, and his arm or hand shows an injury that hints at a violent past. Alia wears red in a retro cabaret-style look that suggests a dance number, though her character is still under wraps.

This is the first time Ranbir, Alia and Vicky lead a Bhansali film together, and it is Vicky's first time working with the filmmaker. Ranbir made his acting debut in Bhansali's Saawariya, and Alia worked with him on Gangubai Kathiawadi. Vicky was last seen in Chhaava, reportedly one of the biggest hits of 2025.

The makers have kept the plot under wraps. Reports describe Love & War as a period romantic drama set against a war, with Ranbir and Vicky said to play Indian Air Force officers caught in a love triangle with Alia's character. Supriya Pathak is reportedly in a key role, and the film is reportedly releasing in Telugu and Tamil as well as Hindi.

The film is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 425 crore. Reports say the three leads have not charged a fee, and that the film has secured a Rs 130 crore streaming deal with Netflix, plus another Rs 70 to 80 crore from music and satellite rights. Fans were quick to react to the poster, and Alia and Sonam Kapoor reportedly cheered it on with emojis in the comments.
