The Biopic 'Prajakavi Kaloji' Directed By Prabhakar Jaini To Release On This Date!

Director Prabhakar Jaini is set to bring the extraordinary life of Telangana's beloved poet and freedom fighter, Kaloji Narayana Rao, to the silver screen.

Director Prabhakar Jaini is set to bring the extraordinary life of Telangana's beloved poet and freedom fighter, Kaloji Narayana Rao, to the silver screen. Titled 'Prajakavi Kaloji,' the biopic has been completed and is being produced by Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Jaini under the banner of Jaini Creations. The film stars Moolavirat in the lead role, portraying Kaloji, while Kaloji's family members also make appearances. The director and producers are thrilled with the remarkable resemblance between Moolavirat and Kaloji, leaving viewers feeling as though the poet himself has come to life.

The film was shot in various locations where Kaloji lived and visited, including Warangal, Karimnagar, Hyderabad, and even Visakhapatnam. Prabhakar Jaini expressed his excitement about capturing pivotal moments of Kaloji's life, such as his interactions with renowned personalities like Sri Sri, Kaloji's visit to Krishnabayamma's house in Visakha, and scenes at Amruthalata's house. The production team had the privilege of using Kaloji's personal belongings, including his spectacles and hand stick, with the permission of his family.

The director acknowledged the challenge of condensing Kaloji's remarkable life into a single film, considering the wealth of content available from his biographies and accounts of close friends. These sources inspired Prabhakar Jaini to create a story that highlights Kaloji's excellence and personality. Despite the lack of support from organizations or government bodies, the director invested two years in research, story development, and screenplay writing to bring Kaloji's life to the big screen.

The film is described as more than just a regular movie; it depicts life. Many esteemed individuals who were closely associated with Kaloji, including Potlapalli Srinivasa Rao, Nagilla Ramasastri, Vidyarthi, Ampasaiah Naveen, Dr. V.Y.S. Reddy, Anwar, and others, have portrayed their own roles in the movie. Notable poet Tummuri Rammohan Rao, along with local actors, has also contributed to the project. PV Manohar Rao, Kaloji's brother, took on the role of PV Narasimha Rao, while YSR Sharma, the Chief Editor of Andhra Prabha, played the role of a Zamindar. The film features four songs that encapsulate the essence of Kaloji's poetry, sung by MLA Goreti Venkanna, Vandemataram Srinivas, Malavika, and Bhudevi.

With the film's completion and the rapid progress towards its release on September 9, Prabhakar Jaini hopes that 'Prajakavi Kaloji' will meet the audience's expectations and receive a warm reception.
