Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali has grossed ₹25.65 crore worldwide in its first two days, holding its ground against Rajinikanth's Jailer 2.

The film opened at ₹15.65 crore gross and added around ₹10 crore on its second day, a fall of roughly 36 percent. Trade estimates place its break even mark near ₹80 crore worldwide gross, so the film has covered about a third of what it needs.

Sunday and the Dasara holidays now matter most. Festival breaks tend to bring families to theatres, and a strong weekend jump would put Ranabaali in a far better spot.

both big releases doing well in the Telugu states, smaller films are feeling the squeeze. Anupama Parameswaran's Crazy Kalyanam opened to decent word of mouth, but it has no big star to pull crowds on its own and arrived with little buzz. Its makers need this weekend to build collections and find a steady hold.

Garavidi Lakshmi has also landed in theatres, adding one more title chasing the same audience.
