Rakul Preet Singh To Pair Opposite Ayushmann Khurrana In Doctor G

Ayushmann Khurrana to be cast in Junglee Pictures' next titled Doctor G. The statement came in December 2020. Rakul Preet Singh has been finalized as the leading lady for the film. She will play Dr. Fatima, a medical student. Doctor G is a campus comedy-drama, the movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Dr. Uday Gupta, who is a senior to Rakul Preet Singh's character in the movie. Speaking on her collaboration with Junglee, Rakul shared that she is super excited to be a part of Doctor G.  

There are many surprises for Rakul in the film starting with her co-star Ayushmann and that she is grateful to Junglee Pictures and the director Anubhuti for bringing them together. She said she was in love with the script from the time she had heard it. It’s a pretty exciting idea of medical drama and campus comedy that will make a new prospect for the audience. Rakul says she cannot wait to start shooting for the film. Director Anubhuti Kashyap also opined that it is always amazing for him to see two talented individuals coming together. For Doctor G, the team wanted a very interesting cast, and that he was happy to have Ayushmann and Rakul with them. He felt that their on-screen pairing is new just like the characters they play in the film, and their energies and chemistry will be different and unusual for the audience.
