Rajinikanth arrives at Dharmam shoot in an auto-rickshaw as Mysuru schedule wraps

Superstar Rajinikanth gave his fans a lovely surprise in Mysuru when he turned up at the shooting spot of his upcoming film Dharmam in an auto-rickshaw. Videos of his arrival quickly went viral on social media, showing the actor waving at the fans who had gathered near the location.

In one clip shared by a fan, the star smiles and joins his hands in greeting as the crowd cheers "Thalaiva" the moment he steps out of the auto. He then heads towards the set. Reports say he was dressed in a simple red shirt and a white dhoti for the day.

The visit came as the team finished the film's Mysuru schedule earlier this week. Director Ashwath Marimuthu confirmed that the latest leg of shooting had been wrapped up. According to reports, this was the third production schedule, and it had started only around two weeks earlier. The makers are still keeping the story and character details under wraps.

What is known is that Rajinikanth plays a doctor in Dharmam. An earlier title poster reportedly showed him inside an operation theatre with a scalpel in hand, standing over what looked like a slain rowdy sheeter, which points to a doctor who takes on criminals.

The cast has also been creating buzz. Raashii Khanna and Ram Pothineni are said to have important roles, though Ram's part has not been officially announced by the makers. Raashii reportedly posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself with Rajinikanth and Ram in activewear, apparently after an early morning workout, before deleting it and sharing an edited version. Fans spotted the original anyway.

Dharmam is produced by veteran actor Kamal Haasan under his own banner, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Reports add that Niketh Bommi is handling the cinematography and Pradeep E Raghav is the editor.
