Get ready for Hrithik Roshan's thrilling aerial action movie Fighter, hitting the big screens on January 25th! Directed by the talented Siddharth Anand, who previously delivered blockbusters like War and Pathaan, expectations were sky-high for Fighter. However, it seems like we're in for a surprise.
Unfortunately, advance bookings for the opening day are way below what we anticipated, both in India and international markets. Despite today being the last day for advance bookings, sales haven't been as encouraging as we hoped. Initially, trade experts predicted a whopping 50 crore opening, but based on the current trend, it looks like Fighter will open closer to 20-25 crore net. The opening might even be lower if the initial reviews and buzz aren't positive.
The poor advance bookings seem to stem from the film's trailer and music. Some people believe that Fighter is dealing with a tried and tested concept, which might explain the underwhelming response. However, if the movie manages to generate positive word of mouth, it might still benefit from the extended Republic Day weekend.
