After a hiatus of 5 years since his last film, Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu, Nara Rohith is set to make a comeback with Prathinidhi 2, the highly anticipated sequel to his acclaimed 2014 political drama, Prathinidhi. Under production for the past 4 months, the sequel is nearing completion, with only 3 days of talkie and a couple of songs left to be shot.

Launched in late August, Prathinidhi 2 is directed by journalist and news presenter Murthy Devagupthapu and features Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta in a pivotal role. The makers recently filmed a high-intensity action sequence for the climax at a fruit market in Hyderabad.

Produced by Kumarraza Bathula, Anjaneyulu Sri Thota, and Kondakalla Rejender Reddy, the film is scheduled for a Republic Day weekend release in January next year.
