Nani's The Paradise Opens With 1.5 Million Tickets Sold on Booking Apps

Nani's The Paradise has hit theatres today, and it arrives on the back of huge advance sales. The film has sold 1.5 million tickets across the BookMyShow and District apps, which shows how eagerly fans have waited for it. It is directed by Srikanth Odela, who earlier teamed up with Nani on the hit Dasara.

On BookMyShow alone, the film has reportedly sold 941K tickets in pre-sales. That would place it sixth on the platform's pre-sales list, just behind OG at 950K, with Devara, Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD and Pushpa 2 above it. It also puts The Paradise ahead of big releases such as Peddi (875K), Game Changer (815K), Guntur Kaaram (739K) and Bro (530K).

The worldwide numbers look promising too. Reports say the film has already grossed close to Rs 60 crore across the globe through premieres and Day 1 bookings. In North America, it has reportedly crossed US$1.3 million in gross collections. The final opening day figure is expected to rank among Nani's notable starts.

Nani plays a mass action role in what is described as a raw, action-driven film. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, and his songs have reportedly been well received, adding to the buzz. Sudhakar Cherukuri has produced the film with SLV Cinemas, and it is reported to be the biggest-budget project of Nani's career.

Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal, Sonali Kulkarni and Tanikella Bharani are among the actors in key roles. Now that the film is in theatres, all eyes turn to how audiences respond and whether the strong advance sales carry into big box office collections over the coming days.
