Naga Chaitanya, last seen in the cop action drama "Custody" directed by Venkat Prabhu, is currently engrossed in his 23rd film under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti.
In addition to his film projects, Naga Chaitanya has ventured into the digital realm with a supernatural web series titled "Dhootha," directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Vikram K. Kumar. Originally slated for release in the first quarter of 2023, the series faced delays. The OTT platform has now announced that the release date will be revealed tomorrow at noon.
In an earlier interview, Naga Chaitanya explained the cause of the delay, stating, "Once a product is handed over to Prime Video, there would be four to five months of processes, including subtitling work, dubbing in other languages, legal, due diligence works, etc. Only after completing all these procedures will Prime Video announce the release date."
Produced by North Star Entertainment, "Dhootha" features a stellar cast including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, and Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. The series delves into the theme of static objects getting possessed, causing chaos for individuals who commit deadly sins.
