Recently, the renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja has taken legal action against the creators of Rajinikanth's upcoming film, Coolie, for using his song without permission. And now, another film has caught his attention for the same reason.

The film at the center of this issue is Manjummel Boys, which has garnered praise from audiences of different languages. Directed by Chidambaram, the movie features the iconic song 'Kammani' from Kamal Haasan's film Guna. Viewers have loved the way this song has been incorporated in the opening credits and climax.

Unfortunately, Ilaiyaraaja was not happy about the unauthorized use of his composition in the movie. His lawyer has sent a notice to the filmmakers, pointing out the improper use of his creative work. Since the film is also available on streaming platforms, the notice requests compensation for using the song.

Interestingly, the filmmakers had reportedly obtained permission from the music label that owned the rights to the Guna soundtrack. It will be interesting to see how the film's team responds to the situation. Let's hope for a resolution that satisfies all parties involved.
