JD Chakravarthy, Tharun Bhascker reportedly join Ravi Teja and Vivek Athreya film
Ravi Teja's next film with director Vivek Athreya is taking shape, with JD Chakravarthy reportedly set to play the antagonist and Tharun Bhascker said to be in an important role.
Ravi Teja is gearing up for his next film, and the cast forming around him is already drawing attention. The project will be directed by Vivek Athreya, and reports say JD Chakravarthy is set to play the antagonist, with Tharun Bhascker also part of the cast.
Casting and pre-production are now underway, and the makers are looking to take the film on floors soon. According to reports, a launch ceremony is planned for October 11 in Hyderabad. Vivek Athreya is also said to have recently held a photoshoot with Ravi Teja, JD Chakravarthy and Tharun Bhascker.
The JD Chakravarthy casting is what has fans talking. More than one report points to the actor taking on a negative role, which would set up a face-off with Ravi Teja. The two actors bring very different screen personalities, and that contrast could give the director room to build a conflict that steps away from the routine mass villain. The makers have not confirmed the casting officially yet.
Tharun Bhascker will reportedly be seen in an important character, while Priyanka Mohan is said to be playing the female lead. The title Thulabhaaram is also reportedly under consideration, though that too is still waiting on an official word from the team.
The film is reportedly being produced by Laxman and Srini under the Bridge Films banner. It marks Vivek Athreya's first collaboration with Ravi Teja. The director's earlier work includes Brochevarevarura, Ante Sundaraniki and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.
For Ravi Teja, the new project reportedly comes on the back of the success of Irumudi. With an unexpected casting combination in the works and a launch date in sight, this is one to keep an eye on.
