Hanuman Ansh Crosses Rs 350 Crore Worldwide, Becomes 2026's Third Biggest Indian Film

Hanuman Ansh has crossed the Rs 350 crore mark worldwide, and it has done it in its seventh week in theatres. The devotional drama directed by Vishal Chaturvedi stood at Rs 352.28 crore gross worldwide on Day 46, with India gross at about Rs 325.78 crore and overseas takings near Rs 26.5 crore.

The run has not cooled down. On Day 45, September 20, the film reportedly took Rs 13.75 crore net in India, roughly Rs 16.24 crore gross, after Rs 5 crore net on Day 43 and Rs 9.75 crore net on Day 44. Reports say Sunday jumped 41 percent over the previous day, with 7,628 shows and close to 40 percent overall occupancy.

What makes this run unusual is the shape of it. According to reports, the film opened quietly with Rs 1.08 crore net in Week 1 and Rs 0.40 crore net in Week 2, then climbed to Rs 10.40 crore in Week 3 and surged to Rs 61 crore in Week 4. Week 5 brought Rs 91 crore net and Week 6 added Rs 80 crore, a pattern almost no Indian release manages.

That total now places Hanuman Ansh third on the list of 2026's highest grossing Indian films worldwide, behind only Dhurandhar 2 at Rs 1,850.85 crore and Border 2 at Rs 485.3 crore. It has gone past Ram Charan's Peddi at Rs 341.13 crore and Toxic at Rs 333.28 crore, and reports say it has also overtaken the lifetime worldwide gross of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

The economics are the bigger story here. The film was reportedly made on a budget of just Rs 1.8 crore, which works out to a return on investment of more than 15,000 percent, described in reports as the most profitable Hindi film ever made. Word of mouth and repeat viewing from family audiences are credited for the climb.

Hanuman Ansh was written, directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi under Swambhu Media Network, and it draws from Divine Detour: That Changed My Life and the life of Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa and Vihaan Shedge lead the cast, with Chandan Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi and Gulshan Pandey in supporting roles.
