Farhan Akhtar has come up with yet another production endeavor in association with Ritesh Sidhwani. This film is titled Dongri to Dubai that is based on the infamous life story of one of the most vicious underworld dons, Dawood Ibrahim. The essence of this film is extracted from Hussain Zaidi’s book, Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades. Ever since the commencement of the film shoots the crew is constantly facing hindrances.
A credible source close to the film crew gave some more details about the problems faced by the Dongri to Dubai film crew. They said, "The set which was dismantled at Madh island was rebuilt at the same place in January, and it remains. Around 40 days of shooting are remaining which will be shot only after the rainy season. Despite the permission given by the Maharashtra government to resume shooting by following the SOP (standard operating procedures), the makers have decided to wait and watch as they do not want to take any chances this time around and stall the shooting again."
Dongri to Dubai is being directed by Shujaat Saudagar. This film stars Avinash Tiwary, Kay Kay Menon, Jitin Gulati, Amyra Dastur, and Kritika Kamra in its primary casting.
