Chiyaan Vikram As Aditya Karikalan In Ponniyin Selvan

It is well known by now that actor Chiyaan Vikram, plays Aditya Karikalan in Mani Ratnam's adaptation of Kalki's epic historical novel, 'Ponniyin Selvan'. While the film is gearing up to hit theatres on September 30, 2022, the makers have now unveiled the first look poster of the film featuring Vikram as Aditya Karikalan.

In the poster, Chiyaan Vikram looks like a vicious warrior and majestic as Aditya Karikalan, the Prince of the Chola dynasty. Sharing the first-look poster, the makers of Ponniyin Selvan, Lyca Production tweeted

The story is set in the 10th century during an uproarious time in the Chola Empire when the power struggle between different branches of the ruling family caused violent rifts between the potential successors to the reigning emperor. The film will release worldwide in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The magnum opus with a stellar cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj is based on Kalki’s eponymous Tamil novel that was serialised in the 1950s and has remained a sensational success ever since.
