Vijay Antony's film, "Bichagadu 2," has witnessed a remarkable box office performance in the Telugu states, and its historical success can be attributed to the popularity of its predecessor, "Bichagadu" (known as "Pichaikkaran" in Tamil), in the same region. "Bichagadu" struck a chord with both the masses and family audiences due to its emotionally resonant content, making it one of Telugu cinema's biggest hits in terms of Return on Investment (ROI).

What's even more intriguing is that the Telugu version of the film has outperformed its Tamil counterpart in terms of box office earnings. As per the latest update, "Bichagadu" is all set for a re-release in the Telugu states on the 15th of September. This decision comes at a time when there are not many new releases scheduled for that week, which should potentially help the film generate decent revenues. Advance bookings for the re-release will commence soon.

The movie was written and directed by Sasi and produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Vijay Antony himself composed the film's music score.
