Balakrishna Returns to Dada Shoot in Mysore, December 24 Release on Track

Nandamuri Balakrishna is ready to get back to work on Dada after recovering from an injury he suffered during the shoot. The actor took a break to heal, and reports say he also had surgery. The next schedule is planned in Mysore, with Gopichand Malineni directing.

Reports say Balayya has given 15 days of dates for the Mysore stretch, after nearly two months of rest. About 20 more days of shooting are said to remain after that, so the team needs around 35 days from him to finish his part. A song featuring the star, composed by Thaman, is reportedly still to be filmed, and some portions may be shot at Kakinada Port.

The makers are sticking with the December 24 release date. Scenes that do not need Balakrishna have reportedly been wrapped already and are in post production, which helps the team protect the Christmas slot. The OTT calendar is said to be another reason for the rush. If fresh delays hit, Dada could reportedly shift to Sankranthi 2027, where it may face films from Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh.

Dada is a gangster action drama, and Balakrishna plays a gangster in a stylish new look. The mafia story is said to carry some elements audiences have not seen before. Kajal reportedly plays the female lead, while Venkata Satish Kilaru is said to be producing the film under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.

The teaser reportedly drew a decent response, and the team expects the trailer to push the buzz even higher. With the Veera Simha Reddy combination back together, fans have big hopes for this one. Manoj Manchu is reportedly playing the villain, which adds more interest given his earlier work with Balayya.
