Ayan Mukerji Plans Brahmastra Sequels To Be Shot Together

Ayan Mukerji reveals a plan to shoot Brahmastra sequels simultaneously with the release of Part Two in 2026. After years of anticipation, the first installment of the Ayan Mukerji-directed trilogy, Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt, was finally released in theaters on September 9, 2022. Garnering a massive collection of Rs. 257.44 cr in India, the film was a visual spectacle and created a lot of buzz among the audience. However, the weak dialogues penned by Hussain Dalal did draw some criticism.

Despite the success of Part One, the filmmaker has revealed that they plan to shoot the sequels simultaneously to release Part Two in 2026. Mukerji said at the News18 Rising India summit in New Delhi, “We will make Brahmastra 2 and 3 together. The truth is we are going to take a little bit of time to write it. I know there’s a lot of anticipation.”

Apart from the lead cast, the film also had a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan, with Mouni Roy playing the antagonist. Fans can't wait to see what the team has in store for them with the next two installments of the franchise.
