Alliance Season 2 to premiere on Prime Video on January 14, 2027, Kunal Kemmu returns

Prime Video is bringing back its reality show Alliance for a second season, and fans will not have to wait long. The new season premieres on January 14, 2027, and will stream only on Prime Video. Kunal Kemmu is back as the host.

Alliance is the Indian version of a Dutch reality format created by John de Mol, and Banijay Asia produces it. In Season 1, 16 celebrity contestants, called Allies, took on physical and mental challenges inside an HQ run by The System. They had to build alliances, deal with changing loyalties and plan every move with care. Reports say the first season wrapped up in August, with Mini Mathur taking the title.

The show was a first for Prime Video as the platform's first daily reality series anywhere in the world, with a new episode arriving every day at noon. Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the strong response proved that Indian viewers want a smarter kind of reality show. He added that fans had grown into a real community following every twist, and that this pushed the team to return in less than a year. According to him, Season 2 will bring bigger stakes, sharper gameplay, more drama and an upgraded System.

Deepak Dhar, Founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, said the heart of the format is simple: who can stay focused when the rules keep shifting? He explained that the new season goes back to that core idea and tests the Allies in fresh ways, through the decisions they make and the bonds they form, not only through the tasks.

Mrinalini Jain, Group Chief Development Officer at the same companies, said the goal was to keep what made the show feel new while still finding ways to surprise viewers. She praised Kemmu for the personality and humour he brought to the HQ in the first season, and said the team is excited to have him guide audiences through an even less predictable game.

The contestant list and full gameplay details for Season 2 have not been revealed yet.
