Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is enjoying the best phase of his career as his recent outing, 'Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior' became a big hit and the actor has so many good movies in his pipeline. Ajay also kickstarted the works of his fourth directorial, 'MayDay' and he is also playing the lead in the same film. Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh are playing crucial roles in the film which is scheduled for a release on April 29, 2022. Now, an interesting update about the story of the film is doing rounds on the internet. 'MayDay' is reportedly inspired by the 2015 episode of a Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight which almost got crashed due to poor visibility.

The incident took place on August 18, 2015, early in the morning. 9W 555 flight carrying 141 passengers and eight crew members onboard took off from Doha. When the pilot tried to land at its destination at Kochi, due to poor visibility the plane was diverted to Trivandrum. But, as the visibility was equally poor, the pilots initiated a May Day call. After three attempts, the plane finally landed at Trivandrum airport with only 250 kg of fuel left (A Boeing 737 aircraft should have a minimum fuel reserve of about 1500 kg). The final schedule of the film will take place in Doha.
