Acclaimed Tamil Film 'Kida' Set To Shine As 'Deepavali' In Telugu!

Renowned Tollywood producer 'Sravanthi' Ravi Kishore's Tamil production 'Kida' garners international acclaim and is set for a Telugu release as 'Deepavali,' offering a heartwarming story of a grandfather, grandson, and a goat.

"Kida," the maiden Tamil production by renowned Tollywood producer 'Sravanthi' Ravi Kishore, directed by RA Venkat and featuring Poo Ramu, Kali Venkat, and others, has garnered accolades at both national and international film festivals, receiving standing ovations at the International Film Festival of India in Goa and the 20th Chennai International Film Festival, where it clinched Best Film and Best Actor awards. The film, officially selected for Indian Panorama, Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne, and the Jagran Film Festival, has been celebrated by audiences worldwide over the past six months.


This critically acclaimed film is now making its way to Telugu audiences as 'Deepavali,' set for a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil on November 11th. 'Sravanthi' Ravi Kishore, who entered the Telugu film industry with "Ladies Tailor" in 1986 and has produced 38 films over 38 years, believes in the supremacy of content. "Deepavali" is his 38th production and his debut venture into Tamil cinema.


The film revolves around the heartwarming tale of a grandfather, grandson, and a goat, crafting a beautiful narrative around these characters. Ravi Kishore was captivated by the story and decided to produce it, providing complete creative freedom to the debutant director, RA Venkat.


Director RA Venkat described "Deepavali" as a film about the emotions between a grandfather, a grandson, and a child. Inspired by his childhood experiences and growing up with his grandparents in a village on the Andhra-Tamil Nadu border, he expressed gratitude to 'Sravanthi' Ravi Kishore for his unwavering support and creative freedom. The film features several newcomers, including the director, music director, and cinematographer, making it a unique and heartfelt cinematic experience.
