Yamanukku Yaman is a 1980 Tamil film. Sathyamoorthy is an honest man who lives in a village and speaks up against the wrong things happening around him. His stand makes powerful enemies, and he is killed.
His story does not stop there. Sathyamoorthy arrives at the court of Yama, the lord of death, and refuses to accept what has happened to him. He begins a protest in the afterlife, determined to reclaim the life that was taken from him. Sivaji Ganesan plays both Sathyamoorthy and Yaman, with Pandharibai as Sathyamoorthy's mother.
