Vikramarkudu

Story

The story of this film revolves around the witty protagonist who was formerly a ticket collector in the regional bus cooperation. But with time he learns that his grandfather and father were gangsters. He was never inspired or awed by their stories, but dire situations make him helpless. To solve the major crisis in his life he takes the path of becoming a thug and faces his opponents fearlessly. The crux of this film is how the protagonist transforms into a gangster who is people's friends but evil men's peril. 

Review

Vikramarkudu is a decent action movie to watch. The hype Vijay Sethupathi creates in this film is truly commendable. The story of this film takes a better turn during the second half and it is very engaging to watch. The comedy timings in this film do get a little monotonous.  

For a story this intense, it is quite inappropriate to add the comedy factor more than a few times in this film. This led to the movie being an awkward confusion. The plot of this film was very appreciable, but the execution could've been much better than what we have been served. The Telugu dub of this film was a mess as the dialogues and song timings didn't sync well. It is almost impossible to have the same experience of the movie when one watches it in Tamil for the Telugu viewers.  

Apart from this, the direction and the cinematography by Dudley were top-notch, and the action choreography was executed well. 

Verdict

Vikramarkudu is a decent film to watch for all the action film lovers.
