Thoota

Raghu (Dhanush) is a middle-class boy who lives with his mother and father. He has a brother named Guru (Sasi Kumar). Because of an incident where Guru's girlfriend dies in an accident, he leaves the house and never looks back. One day, he sees Lekha (Megha Akash), an actress, who comes to his college for her shoot. He converses with her and soon they start to develop a good friendship. But for Raghu, she is more than a friend and his feelings are transparent to her. However, he learns that she is acting against her will and nothing is easy for her in life. She is an orphan and has a very troubled life. Her guardian, Kumar (Senthil Veeraswamy), is a ruthless man with underworld connections. Kumar creates misunderstandings between the couple and they split. Raghu feels dejected that Lekha forgot him and decides to move on too. Just then, he receives a call from Lekha who happens to be in Mumbai. She says that she's with Guru, Raghu's brother, and they need his help. The movie then takes a ride of several twists and turns where the viewers will understand why Lekha is in Mumbai, how she met Guru and why Guru is desperate to save Lekha.
