Pogaru 

Story

Siva(Dhruva Sarja)'s father dies when Siva was at a very young age. His mother(Pavitra Lokesh) gets remarried leaving Siva. After this huge turn of events, Siva becomes wild and happy-go-lucky guy. He falls in love with a teacher (Rashmika Mandanna) who stays in his colony. Because of his love interest, Siva starts to change and the rest of the story is about how he wins back the love of his mother as well as the teacher. 

Review

The story of the film is nothing new and the hero has the same old template kind of problems in his life which made it hard for the audience to connect with the lead actor. The commercial elements are the highlight of the film and the mass action sequences came out really well. The love track is just average and there is nothing to rave about. The emotional scenes are also over the top and not that effective and could have been better. Even though the flashback episodes are very predictable and the director missed a few logics which will be disappointed.  

Coming to the technical values, the editing of the film could have been better. The visuals are good. Music is just average. Except for one or two songs, the rest of the songs failed to make an impact. The production values are decent.  

It takes some time for the audience to adapt Dhruva Sarja's new massy look in the film. But he did a great job and justified his role. He pulled it off well. Rashmika doesn't have any screen time. She only comes for songs and some comedy scenes. But, her performance is decent in the limited time.  

Verdict 

'Pogaru' is an out-and-out mass action film with Dhruv Sarja's stellar performance, loud humor, and his impressive screen.
