Bombhaat

Story

Vicky(Sushanth Reddy) is a young guy who is unsuccessful in life. He grows up with the unlucky tag, somehow impresses Chaitra (Chandini Chowdary), and now risks losing her. He has got a friend in a scientist, who goes missing suddenly and leaves his daughter Maya(Simran Chowdary) with him. Vicky falls in love with Maya. The twist in the tale occurs when Vicky comes to know that Maya is not a human but a humanoid. Just then, another scientist(Makrand Deshpande) comes searching for Maya. The rest of the story is to find who is this Maya and the reason behind her creation? How is the science fiction angle handled in this film?  

Review

The team sought an attempt to play with science fiction and recreate it with a love angle. The director of the movie Raghavendra Varma before the release of the movie used a famous quote from Alfred Hitchcock, Where the logic ends, the drama begins. The saying is quite apt for the movie, which lacks logic.  

The climax of the movie is the real turning point, which lacks logic and hails romance. It's a complete compromise on science fiction and just a relay of love angle to make the audience happy. The narration is not up to the mark. The connection between the characters is sloppy at times.  

A decent performance from the lead pair of the movie, with any scope for the antagonist to flourish upon his role. It is more of a romance and less of a science-fiction. 

Verdict

A movie you can give it a miss, but certainly one you can watch in leisure.
