Nishabd (2007)

Storyline

Vijay Anand is a wealthy photographer who lives in Kerala with his wife Amrita, a homemaker, and their daughter Ritu. Their home stands in a quiet, scenic spot, and life there seems settled and happy. During the summer holidays, Ritu brings her friend Jia to stay with them. Jia studies in India, while her divorced mother lives alone in Australia, and she moves through life without ties or cares. Jia shows a fondness for Vijay. One day he photographs her in the garden as she sprays herself with a hose, and he begins to feel drawn to her. As this feeling grows, Vijay struggles with a bond he cannot hold back, one that puts his marriage and his daughter's trust at risk.
