Lingaa (2014)

Storyline

Lingaa is a small-time thief who lives by his wits. His life changes when he learns that he is the grandson of Raja Lingeswaran, the rightful heir of a famous dynasty. Long ago, under British rule, Lingeswaran wanted a dam built for the local villagers, but the British turned him down. He then inspired the villagers to build it themselves. Lakshmi draws Lingaa into the story of that dam and the people who depend on it. As he finds out what his grandfather did for them, Lingaa has to decide what kind of man he wants to be and what he owes to a legacy he never asked for.
